Having recently built the Aurora Cabin, I was really looking forward to seeing what Lumibricks had done with the Spa Cabin.
The Aurora Cabin is genuinely one of the most beautiful brick-built models I've ever seen, so this one had quite a lot to live up to.
And while I don't think the Spa Cabin quite reaches those heights, there's still an enormous amount to enjoy here.
What particularly impressed me was the attention to detail. Lumibricks have included some absolutely wonderful little design features, and there's one in particular that might be my favourite across both models.
It's also another set I had the pleasure of building with my son, which made the experience all the more enjoyable.
The Spa Cabin might not be the star of this collection, but it's a beautiful model in its own right, and when displayed alongside the Aurora Cabin, the two create something rather special.
Building Experience
I really enjoyed building the Spa Cabin. It's definitely not as spectacular as the Aurora Cabin, but there's still plenty to get excited about with this set.
What really impressed me was the attention to detail. It's absolutely amazing, and as you work through the build, you begin to appreciate just how much difference those smaller details can make.
They really do elevate the model and help create something beautiful.
The building experience itself is easy and intuitive. There's very little that's particularly complicated, and the building emerges naturally from the base, gradually becoming a really solid and attractive structure.
I particularly enjoyed seeing how all those individual details came together. There's a real satisfaction in watching the model develop and discovering the smaller design choices along the way.
And once again, I got to enjoy building this one with my son.
There's something particularly lovely about sitting together, working through a model and enjoying the experience without any pressure or frustration.
We had such a wonderful time building the Aurora Cabin together, and it was lovely to have another opportunity to do the same with the Spa Cabin.
It's another reminder that sometimes the enjoyment of building something goes well beyond the finished model.
The Spa Cabin might not quite match the spectacle of the Aurora Cabin, but it's a thoroughly enjoyable build with some wonderful detailing.
8.5/10
Brick Quality
Once again, Lumibricks have delivered exactly the standard of brick quality I've come to expect from them.
I've spoken about their brick quality in plenty of previous reviews, and I'm conscious of repeating myself, but the consistency really is impressive.
The clutch power is excellent, the colours are consistent and the elements feel well manufactured. Everything connects securely without being unnecessarily difficult to work with.
There's really very little else to say. Lumibricks have established an excellent standard, and the Spa Cabin is no exception.
9/10
Instructions
The instructions were excellent, and every bit as easy to follow as those included with the Aurora Cabin.
Once again, Lumibricks have provided two printed instruction manuals, both clear, well presented and intuitive to work through.
However, because I was building this set with my son, I also made use of the freely available digital instructions.
Being able to follow the instructions independently made a real difference to our building experience.
It made the whole building experience much more enjoyable. We could both work through the model together without constantly having to share instructions or wait for one another.
There's nothing particularly complicated about the instructions, and everything was straightforward to follow.
Another excellent effort from Lumibricks.

Exterior Design
The attention to detail on the exterior of the Spa Cabin is absolutely wonderful. It's one of those models where the more you look, the more you begin to appreciate just how much thought has gone into the design.
From the beautifully printed signs surrounding the spa to the pool itself and the clever use of opaque tiling, there's so much to enjoy here.
But there's one particular detail that I absolutely love.
The windows.
Lumibricks have used printed glass panels to simulate steam and condensation, and the result is genuinely beautiful.
They've even included little messages written by the minifigures in the steam, just as someone might draw or write something on a steamed-up window.
It's such a simple idea, but the execution is extraordinary.
The printing is absolutely superb. It's clear, beautifully finished and incredibly effective at creating the illusion of condensation on glass.
I genuinely think this might be my favourite design detail across both the Spa Cabin and the Aurora Cabin combined.
And that's quite a statement, considering how much I loved the Aurora Cabin.
Another thing I particularly love is the colour palette.
I'm a huge fan of deep, dark reds, and it's a colour I don't think we see used nearly enough outside of steampunk-themed builds.
Here, it works beautifully. The richness of the red gives the building real character, particularly against the surrounding winter scenery.
And when you illuminate the model, the exterior really comes into its own.
It's another beautiful display piece. The lighting brings out the richness of those colours and makes the exterior details really pop.
The Spa Cabin might not have the immediate spectacle of the Aurora Cabin, but it's absolutely beautiful in its own right.
It's these smaller design choices, the printing, the colours and the clever use of different elements, that demonstrate just how much attention has gone into this model.
For me, the exterior is a real highlight.
9/10
Interior Design
The interior is lovely. It's warm, cosy and really captures that wonderful cabin atmosphere.
I particularly love how Lumibricks have achieved this through their choice of colours. There's a real richness and warmth to the interior, and everything works together beautifully to create that inviting cabin feel.
The kitchen appliances were a particular highlight for me. They're beautifully designed, and I really enjoyed the attention to detail that has gone into them.
What I particularly appreciate is the contrast between the warmth of the interior and the cold winter scene outside.
The beautiful snow-covered surroundings and the blue glow of the exterior lighting make the warmth inside feel even more inviting.
It's a clever use of colour and lighting, and Lumibricks have managed to carry that cosy cabin atmosphere throughout the model.
The interior might not be the most spectacular part of the set, but it's beautifully considered and works wonderfully with the overall design.
8/10
Lighting
The lighting is great. It's wonderfully atmospheric, and I particularly love the glow coming from inside the spa room.
The pulsing bulb is a lovely touch. It gives the room a real sense of warmth and atmosphere, and works beautifully against the colder colours of the snow-covered exterior.
But I think the lighting really comes into its own when you place the Spa Cabin alongside the Aurora Cabin.
On its own, the Spa Cabin looks lovely. The lighting is effective, and it certainly adds to the appearance of the finished model.
But next to the Aurora Cabin, something rather special happens.
The two lighting systems complement each other beautifully. The Northern Lights effect from the Aurora Cabin brings the whole scene together, while the warm glow of the Spa Cabin adds another layer of atmosphere.
It's almost as though the Aurora Cabin provides the setting and the Spa Cabin becomes part of that little winter world.
I think this is where Lumibricks have been particularly clever with the collection. The models are attractive individually, but together they create something much more impressive.
The Spa Cabin doesn't have the spectacular lighting effect of the Aurora Cabin, and I wouldn't pretend otherwise. But it doesn't need to.
Its lighting works beautifully for the building itself, and when the two models are displayed together, the result is absolutely stunning.
8/10
Display Appeal
The display appeal really comes back to what I've already said about the exterior design and lighting.
It's a beautiful model, with some wonderful detailing. The deep reds, the snow-covered surroundings, the spa pool and those gorgeous printed windows all contribute to something really attractive.
And when you illuminate it, the whole building comes to life.
The warm glow from inside the spa room, particularly with the pulsing light, contrasts beautifully with the cold blue tones outside.
But for me, the Spa Cabin really shines when it's displayed alongside the Aurora Cabin.
The two models complement each other wonderfully, and the Northern Lights effect from the Aurora Cabin brings the entire winter scene together.
On its own, the Spa Cabin is a lovely display piece. Alongside the Aurora Cabin, it's part of something genuinely beautiful.
I think that's where the real appeal of this collection lies.
9/10
Value for Money
Again, at a similar price to the Aurora Cabin, I think the Spa Cabin represents very reasonable value for money.
There's a lot to appreciate here. The brick quality is excellent, the building experience is thoroughly enjoyable, and the attention to detail throughout the model is wonderful.
The beautifully printed windows, the rich colours and the atmospheric lighting all contribute to a really attractive finished model.
I particularly appreciate that Lumibricks haven't cut corners with the smaller details. Those little touches make a real difference to the overall quality of the set.
And while I think the Aurora Cabin is the more spectacular of the two, the Spa Cabin is still a beautiful model in its own right.
Displayed together, they create something really special, and I think that adds considerably to the appeal of the wider collection.
At this price, there's very little to complain about.
8/10
Final Verdict
The Spa Cabin is another beautiful model from Lumibricks, and one I've thoroughly enjoyed building.
It might not have the immediate spectacle of the Aurora Cabin, but the attention to detail here is absolutely wonderful.
Those beautifully printed steamed-up windows are potentially my favourite design feature across both models.
The deep reds, warm interior, lovely spa details and atmospheric lighting all come together to create something really special.
And once again, I had the pleasure of building it with my son, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
If I were choosing between the two models, I'd buy the Aurora Cabin first. I genuinely think it's one of the most beautiful brick-built models I've ever seen.
But my recommendation would be to buy both if you can.
They complement each other beautifully, particularly when illuminated. The Northern Lights from the Aurora Cabin bring the whole winter scene together, and the Spa Cabin adds another layer of warmth and character.
Individually, they're lovely models. Together, they're something rather special.
8/10. A beautiful companion to an extraordinary model.
