FALAGIL Fantastic 4 Modular Baxter Building Classic Space Academy Europe Warehouse Express
FALAGIL Baxter Building: A Headquarters Worth the Weight
This thing landed on my doorstep like a brick-filled meteor. The FALAGIL Baxter Building is no lightweight knockoff — over 6,100 pieces, packed into a pair of hefty boxes with numbered bags and two thick instruction books. It’s sold through Youmko.
The Box & First Impressions
This one came in heavy. A serious box, actually two smaller boxes inside, and within them a total of 14 large numbered bags, each with around 10 smaller numbered sub-bags. Add to that two thick instruction books — glossy, easy to follow, perfect quality — and you know right away this isn’t your average budget knockoff.
Unpacking felt satisfying, like peeling back layers of a proper flagship modular. Everything was neatly sorted, instructions were clear, and the presentation gave me confidence before the first brick was down.
Build Experience
Let’s get this out of the way: the bricks were perfect. No warped plates, no weird colors, no gummy edges. The clutch power was tight — in fact often better than LEGO itself. That’s a blessing and a curse: midway through I realized I was developing calluses on my fingertips from pressing plates together. A badge of honor, sure, but this is a set you’ll feel in your hands.
The design is a wild ride. There’s a space shuttle built directly into the structure, plus weaponry perched on the roof. Each floor has its own identity — lobby, launch bay, training spaces, rooftop command deck — and the modular approach makes them fun to separate and explore. It’s a super unique concept, and I genuinely enjoyed the build.
But it isn’t all smooth sailing. Two issues stood out:
- Minifigs. Three are included, but none are great. The quality feels cheap, and for me they didn’t add anything. I don’t buy ‘non-Lego’ sets for the figs, so it wasn’t a dealbreaker, but it’s a definite low point.
- Build flow. At times the construction got repetitive, stacking levels with similar patterns. At other points, pieces only locked together structurally at the very last minute, which made sections feel fragile until the final step. Not exactly confidence-inspiring mid-build.
Still, the challenges were part of the experience, and finishing a floor always gave a little rush of satisfaction.
Design & DisplayOnce assembled, this thing is a statement. Impressively large, bold, and beautiful. The shuttle in the middle and the rooftop details give it presence beyond just being “another tall building.” Each floor tells a story — lobby bustle, labs buzzing, training decks, and rooftop command.
Color consistency held up surprisingly well, and the whole structure displays as clean and cohesive. The modular breakdown means you can show it open or stacked, and either way it earns its space on a shelf. I really liked this as an option. You can see the full media at @Justapeeler on Instagram.
Strengths & Weaknesses
Strengths
- Superb brick quality and clutch power.
- Unique design choices: shuttle, rooftop weaponry, distinct interiors. I really found this design striking. I have seen others reviewing it and it always stops me in my tracks when I see it pop up in the feed.
- Excellent packaging & instructions — two books, numbered sub-bags, smooth build flow.
- Impressive display piece, big and commanding. Would also look super amazing in any Lego city. It is also compatible.
Weaknesses
- Poor minifigs — three included, all forgettable.
- Repetitive stretches during construction.
- Late-locking structure in some steps can feel unstable until finished.
- Finger fatigue is real — this build pushes back, it took a day to build.
On Cost, Piece Count & Where to Buy
Let’s talk numbers. This FALAGIL Baxter Building touts around 6,135± pieces and comes with 3 minifigures (though as I mentioned earlier, the figs are underwhelming in quality). The price on Youmko clocks in at about £107.13 (discounted from ~£117.71) for the Europe Warehouse Express listing. So you’re paying roughly 1.75 pounds (or equivalent in euros) per 100 pieces — a pretty aggressive value compared to most off-brand MOCs. And yes — you can buy it directly now via Youmko, via their Europe warehouse, though it is currently positioned as a pre-sale product, with shipping estimated 3–7 days after stock arrival. Final Thoughts
The FALAGIL Baxter Building surprised me. It’s heavy, ambitious, and genuinely fun. The build was sometimes tough on the hands and patience, but it rewarded me with a model that feels both inventive and substantial.
The lackluster minifigs don’t bother me much — I’m here for the architecture and design — and in that respect it delivers far above expectations for an off-brand set.
There are also some great minifigures out there that you could pair with this see Minifigs.me
Score: 6.5/10
A bold, brick-heavy statement piece: challenging, rewarding, and absolutely
unique. When I add my minifigs.me figures I will be super happy I am sure to
make this a 7.5.
