Pantasy Sherlock Holmes Baker Street 221B Apartment (85014)
A Review of Deduction, Detail & Design
Overview & Specs
Set Number: 85014 (Sherlock Holmes Baker Street 221B Apartment).
Piece Count: Over 3,000 pieces.
Dimensions: Modular scale, full street-front display with multiple interior floors.
Price Point: Substantially lower than LEGO’s premium sets, firmly in Pantasy’s value-focused sweet spot $149.99.
Build & Brick Quality
This was, simply put, a lovely build. Every stage felt purposeful, each section flowing into the next without filler or frustration. Pantasy’s bricks lock in with rock-solid clutch power, creating a structure that feels weighty, stable, and display-ready.
The instructions were clear, and while there were a handful of stickers, they were far fewer than I expected. Application was a little trickier than with other brands, but they held up fine and didn’t detract from the experience. Printed details still dominate, which is always Pantasy’s strong suit.
Build Experience
What makes this set stand out is how much character and atmosphere Pantasy packed into each level.
I love, love, love the detail.
Ground Floor: A highlight. Every corner feels alive, from shopfront details to subtle architectural touches. Heavily influenced by Sherlock the BBC series staring Benedict Cumberbatch.
Sherlock’s Apartment: Faithful, textured, and absolutely brimming with Easter-egg-like features. Each room captures the eccentricity and charm of Baker Street with remarkable fidelity. Again, heavily influenced by Sherlock.
And then there’s the cart. I’ve built a few carts in other sets recently, but this one was something else: clever, compact, and genuinely fun. It might sound small, but it became one of my favorite little joys of the whole build.
Minifigs (A Personal Note)
I’ll be upfront: I hate minifigs. I always have. They just don’t appeal to me, and whenever I build, I tend to set them aside. That said, I know many builders love them — and Pantasy has clearly designed these with care. For me, they’re unnecessary, but for others, they’ll add to the storytelling.
Design & Display Appeal
The design is superb. From the exterior facade to the layered interiors, this set is packed with amazing detail. It’s the kind of model where you can move from feature to feature and always find something clever: props, textures, furnishings, and architectural solutions that feel both playful and grounded.
It’s a true display piece — one that doesn’t just sit quietly on a shelf, but invites you to lean closer and appreciate the crcraft.
Value & Final Thoughts
About three years ago, I tried to order a LEGO Sherlock set — one of their dioramas. It never arrived. I was refunded, but it became something of a white whale for me. This Pantasy set feels like poetic justice: the build I wanted, delivered at a standard that surpasses my original expectation.
Pantasy continues to prove why they’ve become my go-to for alternative modulars: better value than LEGO, more creative than Lumibricks, and infinitely more heartfelt than the mass-market releases we’ve come to exexpect.

Verdict
The Pantasy Sherlock Holmes Baker Street 221B Apartment is everything a modular should be: immersive to build, solid in structure, rich in design, and rewarding to display.
For me, it wasn’t just a set — it was the culmination of years of wanting a Sherlock build and finally getting one that exceeded my hopes. Pantasy once again proves why they’re not just competing with LEGO — they’re outclassing them in originality, execution, and value.
This isn’t just a tribute to Holmes; it’s a tribute to what building blocks can be when passion leads design.
I will always give Pantasy.com high reviews. Their models are well designed and affordable and quality. And this is my favourite
